The E.L. Africa Digital Principal of the Year (DPOY)

March 2022 Award (Three winners will get each a Lenovo Laptop computer)

CRITERIA: Throughout the pandemic, all principals in Sub Saharan Africa had to embrace virtual and digital solutions as quickly as possible for learning continuity and continued to do so beyond the pandemic period. E.L. Africa magazine wants to honor three Principals who have digitally transformed their schools with innovative solutions in education. Principals that continue to push for digital access for students, eliminating technology barrier, transform school-community communication with all stakeholders that increased attendance, record keeping, and infuses technology into all curriculum as a strategy for engaging students (evidence based).

Please provide information on the form to nominate a Principal to receive The E.L. Africa magazine Digital Principal of the Year Award. All information requested must be emailed with the nomination form. The completed form and supporting documentation must be emailed to elafricamagazine@gamil.com.

Because selection is based on the Nomination information, care should be given to its clear preparation.

ELIGIBILITY: Nominees must be principals of an accredited secondary school (Public and Private schools) in Sub Saharan Africa. All nominees must have completed a minimum of five years’ experience as a principal at the time of nomination and maintain their position as principal throughout the 2021-2022 school year.

As the NOMINATOR you must include with this form the following materials:

  • A maximum of five statements of support, one of which must be from a professional educator

  • A resume of the nominee: include work history, all degrees earned, and other honors received

  •  A description of contributions made by the nominee in the above nomination criteria, in 12 pt. font.
